About Me

I was raised in a small village on the east coast of Norfolk, England but have since moved to Cape Town, South Africa.  I am not-so-secretly thrilled to be pursuing my childhood dream of working as a children’s book author, illustrator and picture book maker.

I love to create stories and illustrations that provoke a sense of wonder, reflection and fun and am constantly trying to capture the beauty of the in between moments.

When I am not wielding a pencil, you’ll probably find me (almost) lost somewhere on a mountain trail. I find nature is the best tonic and also the source of a lot of my inspiration.

I thrive on visual and verbal storytelling and especially love collaborating with other authors and small businesses by breathing life into their stories with my illustrations.

I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and serve as their Regional Advisor for South Africa.
